Driftwood Containers Come to Rest In a Seaside Garden
Owners of homes near the seashore have the advantage of taking what nature deposits near their doors and turning them into treasures in the garden—mostly driftwood treasure. During the Music in the Garden Tour on the Long Beach Peninsula in Washington State, I found one home that took advantage of deposited driftwood on the shore.
Harvey and Dee Bristol placed large driftwood pieces into the garden and planted them with sedums and sempervivums. What fun encountering these plants growing in nature’s natural containers.
From just a few sedums on large driftwood or a planter hollowed out of another one, I loved every one of them!
